.:Cold ~ Day 7:.Cold
There’s a downside to being a Winter sprite.
Jack was scared, there was nothing he could do but watch; watch as this young child slowly succumbed to the cold.
There was nothing he could do if they didn’t believe and this child. She was borderline age; she believed in Santa and the Easter Bunny, but not the Tooth Fairy or Jack.
So he stood there. Watching as she slowly froze to death. He wanted to reach out, to comfort her, keep her warm; but he knew better than to do that.
He had done it before, and all it had done was sped up the freezing process; that had been awful to see.
He began to pace once more, muttering and frowning.
“That’s it!” He declared suddenly. “I’ll go get North. She believes in him still.”
“There’s no point Jack. She’s gone.” Came a calm voice from the shadows of the forest. “She is no longer breathing. There is nothing to be done.” Pitch slowly emerged from amongst
.:~Vent~:.So. Not allowed to vent.
Not allowed to rant.
I’ll just become suicidal again and have you tell me:
“I don’t know what to do to help.”
“You should see a therapist.”
I can’t afford a therapist. Or have you forgotten?
My apologies. I won’t vent or rant anymore.
Everything between us will be rainbows and sunshine.
.:Temptation ~ Day 6:.Temptation
Pitch was aimlessly wandering town.
He suddenly froze; someone was fearful…terrified and this particular fear was recognizable.
He smirked darkly as he sped up; this was the fear of a Guardian.
When Pitch arrived where the fear was emanating from to say he was confused would be an understatement.
There was Jack, as expected; he was pacing and fervently mumbling, and...the fear was there...but what was causing it?
Pitch looked around and could see nothing, but he was smarter than to assume that meant nothing.
He approached the Guardian, on high alert for any sort of trap. “What is your problem?”
Jack spun to face him, smirking. “I wondered if that would work. Glad to know it does.”
Pitch blinked slowly. “What are you talking about?”
“Well, you’re drawn to fear.” Jack began.
“I am aware.”
“And I wanted to see if I could replicate that feeling on my own. I’ve been trying sin
.:Vampire ~ Day 5:.Vampire
“Soo what are we going to do for Halloween?” Jack asked, floating above Pitch’s throne while said Nightmare King tried to read.
“We? Why would we do anything?” He asked, turning the page. “I detest the holiday.”
Jack fell into his lap. “What? Why? I thought you’d be in your element.”
“You thought? Hmm, perhaps the world is coming to an end.” Pitch stood up abruptly, causing Jack to fall onto the floor.
“Why do you hate it?” Damn the boy was persistent.
Pitch sighed dramatically and looked over at Jack; hoping he could simply ignore the question, but the way the boy was shaking his head that wasn’t going to work.
“I hate it because it ruins everything I stand for.” The way Jack was looking at him made the older spirit sigh again. “It makes children unafraid of the things I have created. The Nightmares I have perfected.”
.:Courage ~ Day 4:.Courage
Pitch assumed that he had finally broken Jack.
He didn’t know how wrong he was.
It was strange; people were beginning to believe in the Guardians more strongly once again.
Pitch was losing control.
It soon became evident as to why.
“Jack,” He snarled, throwing the sprite against the nearest wall. “What do you think you’re doing?”
Jack paused to catch his breath before he raised an eyebrow. “I’m afraid I cannot read minds, you need to elaborate.” A light smirk played on his lips; enraging the Nightmare King even more.
Pitch moved quickly through the shadows, dragging Jack with him, to the iron globe.
“Look. What do you see?” He asked, composing himself a little.
Pitch growled dangerously.
“All right, all right, chill.” Jack looked at the globe, blinking slowly and frowning a little. “I see a ton of lights.” He floated above the globe circling
.:Disney ~ Day 3:.Disney
Things weren’t meant to be perfect.
Eventually the darkness would consume the world.
Jack wasn’t bothered by it.
At least, not at first.
Jack didn’t like it. It was actually starting to bother him how much the people feared him. At least when he had believers before, they had enjoyed his company. Now they ran from him; even adults would hurry home to escape the clutches of the cold.
But even inside their own homes they weren’t safe, for Pitch and his Nightmares would lurk in the shadows, waiting for them to fall asleep.
“Pitch, I want to talk to you.” Jack began as he flew into the Nightmare King’s lair. There were lights on the iron globe but they were dim.
“It appears as though the Guardians are trying their hardest.” Pitch said with a smirk before turning to face the pale boy. “What do you need to talk to me about?”
“I don’t like it.”
Pitch waited for the rest o
.:Moon ~ Day 2:.Moon
It’s common knowledge that the Boogeyman hates the light. It represents all that can defeat him; however there is one light that seems not to bother him.
The Moon, though, the Man who lived in it irritates him to no end.
He loved the night, especially with a full moon. The shadows were longer, darker and more intimidating. Even though the light is brighter than most nights, if anything it merely adds to the contrast between the light and the dark.
He would often hide in the shadows, scaring anyone he could; man, woman, child, it didn’t matter.
Until those awful Guardians had banished him.
Then, he had to wait. He had to be sure the Moon could not see him; so he would bide his time, making sure that the Moon was out of sight before going above ground.
…Until the Guardians banished him a second time. Then he couldn’t leave at all. It was killing him to not be able to breathe the air above ground.
Slowly he was beginning to
